 Our journey to Manaslu Circuit start with a joyful drive to Jagat. During the drive, you will see many beautiful sceneries including the roaring river, giant hills, waterfalls, small local markets, cultivating fields and small villages.

We will wake up with a new excitement for today's journey. After having our first trekking breakfast, we will start our trek through some beautiful villages and environment. Upon reaching Philim village, we will register our permits and continue forward. After a while we will stop at Ekle Bhatti for lunch and then move forwards.

We will come to a junction where the way is separated in two, one leads us to Tsum valley and anothers to Manaslu Circuit, and ofcourse we will take a path that leads us to Manaslu Circuit.  After reaching Deng, we will have our dinners and rest for the night there.

Today, our trail will lead us to the beautiful village Namrung. After having a tasty mountain  breakfast, we will follow the trail leading us through charming villages, cultivating fields and stunning dense rhododendron forest. After having a delicious breakfast, we will begin our journey towards Syala Gaon. The trail will take us through some of the breathtaking landscapes and stunning sceneries. In the middle at Lhogaon, we will stop for lunch. Then continuing our journey, we will finally reach Syala Gaon, where we get the mesmerizing views of the Manaslu and surrounding peaks.

Beginning our day with the wonderful and mesmerising view of sunrise over the head of the Mt. Manaslu along with a healthy breakfast, we will precede our journey towards the oldest monasteries namely Pungen Gompa lying on the lap of Mt.Manaslu.

During the trip to our destination, we can enjoy the scenic beauties of the silvery mountain including the giant Manaslu and its surroundings. After capturing the incredible views from Pungen Gompa, we will head towards Samagaon.

Today's hike is short and  will take us to Samdo village. We will pass some charming villages with the backdrop of stunning scenery. After reaching Samdo, we get to enjoy a delicious lunch, have a rest for sometime and then do an acclimatization hike to nearby hills.

This beautiful day starts with a stunning morning sunrise and healthy and tasty local breakfast. The hike is going to be short yet pretty tough as we will walk through an ascending trail. During the walk, we might spot the herds of blue sheep grazing on the grassland. After walking for a few hours, we will arrive at Dharmasala where we will spend the night before crossing the Larkya La Pass.

Our destination of the day is to reach Bhimthang passing the Larkya La Pass, which is a pretty challenging part of the trek. We will wake up early in the morning, have our breakfast or can take it with us and start the journey. The walking trail is not difficult to climb but it is the long distance that makes the hike tough.

After a few hours of walking, we will finally reach the top of the Larkya La Pass at an altitude of 5,106 meters. When you reach the top, you will be encircled by the stunning mountains and the breathtaking views around you will make you forget all the pain and tiredness you faced to reach here. It is the great sense of accomplishment you will get in your life. After living the moment for a while, we will descend towards Bhimthang.

The last hiking destination of our entire Manaslu Circuit Trek is Dharapani. After breakfast, we will trek through scenic landscapes and lush rhododendron forests savoring the melodious sounds of birds singing. The Manaslu Short Trip is a marvellous yet moderately difficult journey. The trek involves walking on rugged terrain including rocky trail, steep ascend and descends, and uneven surface. As the trek takes you to the high mountain environment, the weather is unpredictable as well as due to high-altitude, there is a possibility of getting altitude sickness. Despite the challenges, the short trek to Manaslu is achievable for trekkers with the right preparations including proper  acclimatization, right equipment, positive attitude, and training.

Altitude Sickness

Manaslu Circuit is a high altitude trek leading you to an altitude of 5,106 meters at Larke La Pass, where there is high risk of altitude sickness. Trekkers who don’t get proper acclimatization and move to the high altitude area have a high risk of suffering altitude sickness.

Symptoms: Shortness of breath, Insomnia, weakness, appetite loss, headache, nausea, and vomiting.

Preventive measures: Ascend gradually, take proper acclimatization days, stay hydrated, avoid alcohol;, smoking, energy drinks and food that makes your body dehydrated.

Accommodation and Meals during the Short Manaslu Trekking

Well accommodation and good food are the crucial aspects of a successful trek. Manaslu Circuit used to be a campaign trek before but now the Manaslu trek introduced Local teahouses  and it is known as tea house trek. You can find various tea houses providing simple and comfortable rooms with basic amenities. There is no AC or Heater, though you can ask for an extra blanket if you need. And you can buy a hot water bucket for a bath.

For food, you will get whatever is mentioned in the teahouse menu. You will see both Nepali and western cuisine on the menu. Most of the trekkers prefer Nepali Dal Bhat Tarkari (Lentil soup, Rice & vegetables) as it is the good source of nutrients that your body needs during the trek. Yes, you will not get everything and foods like in the city, but the food you will have during the trek is delicious and full of nutrients and everything that gives your food proper energy. For drinking water, tea houses sell mineral water or you can have boiled filter water throughout the trek. We also recommend you to carry a water purification capsule/drop.
