Trekking to Lobuche

The trail between Lobuche and Everest Base Camp including Gorakshep is rugged and through glacier - moraines. Lots of rocky boulders make it difficult for trekkers to smoothly navigate. It takes about 2.5 hours to 3 hours to reach Gorakshep from Lobuche.

It takes about 2 to 3 hours to reach Everest Base Camp from Gorakshep. Please note that you don’t see Mt. Everest from the Everest Base Camp. The sight of Mt. Everest is best seen from the ridge line few meters before Everest Base Camp. Once you reach the base camp, collect as many memories as possible. If the timing of the trek is in the climbing season, then an entire base camp looks like a nomadic village with full of colorful tents.
Sunrise from Kalapathar
